I would have appreciated stitch counts at the end of the first few rounds though -been a while since I've crocheted. I also did a sc around the perimeter of the flap since it looked quite messy without them. All in all a good pattern that turned out cute.
JKMac7https://www.blogger.com/profile/07917747078693079816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8036157474307629904.post-77673740823937812412019-10-18T20:31:26.394-04:002019-10-18T20:31:26.394-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.JKMac7https://www.blogger.com/profile/07917747078693079816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8036157474307629904.post-77152647759800379552019-06-26T11:53:52.890-04:002019-06-26T11:53:52.890-04:00It has been over a year since you wrote this, and ...It has been over a year since you wrote this, and I just found it in my comments awaiting moderation, I'm so sorry. I don't have another pattern, but am sure there are many to be found online if this will not work for you. Thank you for your interest! I wish you the best in crocheting a prayer shawl for a friend.

OH another suggestion would be doing a more open stitch with a large Q hook, an example shown hanging on the arm of the chair.
